Ahead of presidential and National Assembies general election come saturday 16th February 2019, the community residents has spoken in one voice to work for the victory of Alhaji Yakubu Oseni and APC candidates in the community.
Ebogogo community known as the largest community which consists of four segments with various community leaders, in the history of democracy the community never lost any election to any undesire candidates despite the community backwardness politically since democracy era.
Its no longer a news the kogi central senatorial hopeful and APC flagbearer Alhaji Yakubu Oseni hail from the community, the son of the soil home victory is 100% guarantee as the grassroot cavassers are now in APC camp.
Recently, former PDP chairman and others executives who hail from the community defected to All Progressive Congress to ensure total victory.
However, Ebogogo the largest community in Adavi which consist four segments namly,
* Lafia/Ebogogo layout where Alhaji Yakubu Oseni residence.
* Aboze where Hon Salawu idris the SA on health to Adavi administrator residence
* Obessa where Hon Ben the DG protocol to Adavi Administrator residence.
* Enyidudu where Hon Alando the APC chieftain residence.
There is no doubt that 95% votes from the second largest ward in Adavi i.e Ebogogo/ikaraworo/iresuha ward is secure for the victory of Alhaji Yakubu Oseni and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
Natasha Akpoti Campaign Organization
(NACO), has petitioned Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, his Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja and her Director General Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo to the United Nations Women.

Natasha Campaign Organisation, Mohammed Sadiq accused the Kogi State Governor and his aides of continuous vituperation on her
Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.
The petitioned pointed out that Natasha is a candidate to beat in the forthcoming senatorial election in Kogi Central and as such her risen profile and popularity among
the people of Kogi Central has become a source of concern and nightmare to Govenor Yahaya Bello led administration who has vowed to use violence and intimidation to
suppress Nataaha Akpoti in the forthcoming election.
According to the petition, it is on record that the state government sponsored attacks on Natasha Akpoti’s supporters, killing and maiming them, destroying her political bill board and illegally arresting and detaining her teeming supporters while the security
agencies in the state look away despite her various petitions to the leadership of security agencies in the state and the
federal government of Nigeria.
The petition further alleged that, after failing to stop the risen profile of Natasha, the agents of the state government resorted to blackmail, making offensive and derogatory
comments about her personality to tarnish her image and influence the people to turn against her.
The petition disclosed that Edward Onoja went to the facebook page of Natasha Akpoti and openly used a derogatory comments on her.
In the same vein, the spokesperson of the governor, Kingsley Fanwo made derogatory comments on Natasha on the instruction of Governor Yahaya Bello and Administrator of
Okehi local government, Abdulraheem Ohiare calling Natasha bastard and a prostitute.
The petition called on the office of United Nations Women wing to switch to the defense of Natasha Akpoti and draw the attention of the federal government to the plight of Natasha and that of young women
in Nigeria who have been abused serially for
standing for their constitutional rights.
Kogi group under the aegis of Igala / Bassa Leadership Forum has endorsed the candidature of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the February 16, 2019 presidential poll.
The group also threw her weight behind all the candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.
In a communique at the end of the enlarged meeting held at Ankpa, headquarters of Ankpa LGA of the state on Sunday and signed by Dr. Odekina John, it noted with distraught the abysmal performance of the
APC-led governments in the centre and in Kogi state.
The spokesman of the forum called for
unflinching support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and all her candidates in the forthcoming elections in Kogi state.
Odekina stated that in view of the
continuous sufferings and pitiable plights of the people of Kogi East, the entire sons and daughters of the zone have resolved to adopt Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP as
their presidential candidate.
He added that the forum took the decision based on their conviction that Atiku Abubakar has all it takes to restore Igala kingdom and the country at large to the path of economic prosperity.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of PDP has been adopted Presidential candidate by the entire people of Kogi East. We call on all sons and daughters of Igala / Bassa nation to come
out en masse to vote for PDP flag bearers in the National and State Assembly elections.
“The Igala-Bassa nation is enjoined to rise up and take a front position in Kogi political climate and redeem the Kogi East from the impoverished and enslaved plights that the
APC government has brought on our people,” he solicited.
While calling on the people to unite against party lines to support the candidature of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, he lamented that the zone has suffered neglect
in the three and half years of APC led
Those in attendance include representatives from all the nine Local Government Areas in Kogi East district, including stakeholders from major political parties that are fielding
candidates in the Saturday general elections
from the area.
It could be recalled that some group of
elders, political leaders and captains of
industry from Kogi East Senatorial District
had also resolved to promote the interests
of PDP candidates in the area.

The Kogi State Government on Monday
announced that all schools in the state
would temporarily close down for the Feb.16 and March 2, general elections.
The government directed school
administrators to comply with the two mid-term breaks in the reviewed 2018/2019 academic calendar in the state.
Mr Eric Aina, the Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, announced this in a statement in Lokoja, on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Rosemary Osikoya.
Aina said in the statement that the ministry had reviewed the 2018/2019 Academic Calendar to ensure that mid-term break for schools across the state coincided with the general elections.
“In view of the forth coming general
elections, the State Ministry of Education has approved two `half-term breaks’ to cover both the presidential and gubernatorial
elections for all educational institutions in the state.
“This is in view of the fact that elections arebheld in some schools.
“I am directed to request you to close all schools for mid-term break as follows:
“First term break from Feb. 13 to 15, 2019; classes are to resume on Feb. 18, and boarders are to return on the evening of Feb. 17.
“Second `half-term break’ from Feb. 28 to March 1; classes are to resume on March 4.
“Boarders are to return to school on the evening of March 3, 2019,” Aina said.
He, therefore, called on all head teachers, principals, heads of schools and institutions, in both private and public schools in the state, to comply with the directive.
He also enjoined all parents and guardians in the state to take note of the break periods.
